Qld: Kleenmaid director seeks solutions overseas
Kleenmaid director ANDREW YOUNG is touring Europe and the United States to find a solution
to saving his company.
The Queensland-based whitegoods group is in the hands of administrator Deloitte ..
with creditors owed at least 76 million dollars.
Of that .. 45 hundred customers are owed at least 27 million dollars in undelivered
goods .. and 150 employees are out of work.
A spokesman for Deloitte says Mr Young isn't using company funds for his trip.
Mr YOUNG's told customers he'll meet with suppliers and is working on a plan to save the company.
He'll present a strategy to the next creditors' meeting .. expected to be held in the
week starting May 25.
