SA: Small, good quality 2003 vintage tipped for Barossa Valley
Winemakers say the drought will mean a small vintage in South Australia's Barossa Valleythis year.
Barossa winemaker STEPHEN HENSCHKE says this year's vintage has experienced a winterdrought and a frosty and windy spring.
Mr HENSCHKE says the hot, dry and windy weather during summer has stressed the vinesseverely, which has resulted in smaller berries and a reduced crop.
But he says the small vintage will be of high quality
