Crestar Leverages Its Intranet for Instruction.

Shifting to a client/server-based architecture, Crestar Bank this spring is slated to offer employees computer-based training (CBT) through its intranet.

The $25 billion bank has employed Phoenix For Windows, a network-based application from Pathlore Software, Columbus, Ohio. The distance-learning tool will deliver more than 80 training courses -- such as product training, compliance and investment courses -- to all PCs connected to Crestar's year-old intranet.
